Guava grows in tropical climates, often called as super fruits. Compared to Pineapple at the same amount, guava has 30% more calories but 3 times in protein even 4 times in dietary fiber (5.4 g per 100 g of fruit). The fruit contain several vital vitamins, minerals, and antioxidant poly-phenolic and flavonoid compounds that useful in the prevention of cancers, aging, and any infections.
The fruit is also rich in vitamin C (228 mg per 100 gram), which help us in improving body immunity against free radical and any infectious agents. Guava also a good source of vitamin A and flavonoid that are essential for maintaining the healthy of mucus membranes and skin. Guava is rich in potassium, guava contain more potassium than any other fruits like Banana at the same weight. Potassium is important compound that help controlling blood pressure and heart rate.

Guava Juice
Results : 1 glass
Ingredients:
- 1 whole medium ripe guava
- ½ cup cold distilled water
- Honey (as desired)
Preparation:
- Wash guava and cut into halves. Remove seed core and cut into 2-inch pieces.
- Process guava and cold water in a juicer.
- Mix honey in guava juice. Drink readily.
Variation:
- Use natural, unprocessed honey for better health benefits. Increase or decrease honey to suit your taste.
Weight loss benefit:
Guava is excellent for weight loss because it contains just a
small amount of calories packed in with loads of dietary fiber.
